The Association of Dept. of Electrical & Electronics engineering, IGMI, in collaboration with Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) successfully conducted a Sub district level Quiz Competition on 21 st November 2023 at EEE Department Seminar Hall. It was proved to be a successful initiative in promoting awareness and knowledge about the energy sector. Mr. Jithin Mohan K S, (Facullty advisor- IGMI) welcomed the gathering and the Event was inaugurated by Dr. Febina Beevi. P (HOD, EEE). There after the Quiz competition was conducted by KSEB Assistant Engineers under the leadership of Mr. Abdul Azeez M (AE, KSEB). Students from Various department participated in the program. Amal Hisham O H from S5 CSE won the first prize. Mohammed Saiff from S3 EL won the Second prize. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Fathima Jinsy C (Chairperson, IGMI).

Inter College Quiz and Circuit Designing Competition

The Association of Dept. of Electrical & Electronics engineering, IGMI in collaboration with MECA (Association of Dept. of Electrical & Computer engineering) organized an Inter College Quiz Competition and Circuit Designing Competition on 2 nd November 2023 at depatment Seminar Hall and Workshop respectively. Event was inaugurated by Dr. Febina Beevi. P (HOD, EEE). Mr. Jithin Mohan K S, (Facullty advisor-IGMI) welcomed the gathering. There after the Quiz competition was conducted by Quiz master Mr. Muhammed Bava K H, (Assistant Professor-S&H), MEA Engineering College.

KSEB Officer’s Association Energy Quiz Competition

District level KSEB Officer’s Association Energy Quiz Competition was organized by IGMI on 31 st October 2023 in EEE department computer lab. Mr. JITHIN MOHAN K.S. (Faculty advisor, IGMI) welcomed the gathering and keynote address was delivered by Dr. FEBINA BEEVI. P (HOD, EEE). Students from various semester of EEE department participated in the event.

ILLUME'23

The Electrical and Electronics department of MEA Engineering College celebrated its department association day on 11 th October, 2023. The event was organized in the EEE block seminar hall of MEA EC and was held between 11.30 am to 04:20 pm. The new executive committee of IGMI, the department association, for the year 2023- 2024 was also announced in the event.

The Electrical and Electronics department of MEA Engineering College celebrated its department association day on 29 th September, 2022. The event was organized in the main block seminar hall of MEA EC and was held between 09.30 am to 01:00 pm. The new executive committee of IGMI, the department association, for the year 2022- 2023 was also announced in the event.
Mr. Faisal Rahiman Pazheri, Assistant Electrical Inspector, Electrical Inspectorate, Malappuram, was the chief guest and inaugurator for the event. Mr. Jithin Mohan K.S., Faculty Advisor of IGMI gave the welcome speech. Dr: Febina Beevi, department head, gave the presidential address, while Dr: G. Ramesh, college principal gave the special address on the occasion. Mr. Zubair C.K., administration manager, of MEA EC also addressed the students on the occasion.
The department association day was further made memorable by the presence of the student alumni. A memento distribution was also organized for academic excellence of students of semesters three, seven and for the pass out batch. A technical talk on ‘Electrical Safety’ by Mr. Faisal Rahiman Pazheri was also organized as part of the event. The new office bearers of IGMI for the year 2022- 2023 was announced by principal, Dr. G. Ramesh. The new team will be lead by Mr. Ahammed Suhail. A as the chairperson and Mr. Jithin Mohan K. S. as the Faculty Advisor.

Technical Session - “Demo on BIM”

A technical session on the topic “Demo on BIM “by Jishnu K P, HOD EBIM Services, Cochin was organized by Department of Electrical Engineering MEAEC on 1 November 2022. The session started at 10 am and ended by 11 am. There was a total of 50 participants for the session.

A technical session on the topic Carrier Guidance “by Shem Shaju”

A technical session on the topic Carrier Guidance “by Shem Shaju” was organized by Department of Electrical Engineering MEAEC on 4 November 2022. The session started at 11.15 am and ended by 12.45 am. There was a total of 18 participants for the session.

Power Quiz

The Program was organized on 20 th October 2022. The program was conducted in the EEE seminar hall.
About 28 students participated in the program and NAAMSHID AMEEN K and MOHAMMED SADIQUE.T of S7 EEE has won the prize for the prize

Virtual Session About COVID-19

EEE Department of MEA Engineering college has Organized a awareness Program on the topic “Virtual Session About COVID-19” on 05/June/2021 at 3Pm via Google meet. The Chief Guest of the Function is Dr. Shermina Jasmine, CMO, Malappuram Taluk Hospital. Mr. Jithin Mohan K S (Assistant professor and Staff Advisor of IGMI). Presidential Address was given by Dr. FEBINA BEEVI. P (HOD, EEE). Mr. Haneesh Babu K T (Vice Principal, MEA) conveyed the Felicitation. Around 101 participants were in the program. Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Muhsin K (Chairman, IGMI).

The dignitaries present in the dais are Dr. Sreejith S (Asst. Professor, NIT, Silchar), Dr. V.H. Abdul Salam (Director, MEAEC), Mr. Haneesh Babu. K.T.(Vice Principal, MEAEC), Mr. Zubair C.K. (Administration manager, MEAEC), Dr. Febina Beevi. P (HOD, EEE), Mr. Jithin Mohan K.S. (Faculty advisor, IGMI). Mr. Jithin Mohan K S welcomed the gatherings, Presidential address was given by Dr. Febina Beevi. P (HOD, EEE), Special address was given by Dr. Sreejith S (Asst. Professor, NIT, Silchar) and keynote address is given by Dr. G. Ramesh (Principal, MEAEC). There after the Technical Speech was given by Dr. Sreejith S (Asst. Professor, NIT, Silchar). Engineer’s Day

EEE Department of MEA Engineering college has Organized a Quiz Competition on Engineer’s Day on 15th Sept 2020. Mr. JITHIN MOHAN K.S. (Faculty advisor, IGMI) welcomed the gathering and keynote address was delivered by Dr. FEBINA BEEVI. P (HOD, EEE). Students from various semester of EEE and ECE Department were participated in the event. Our Students Fahim Ali, Mohammed Shibili and Sahid Irfan won the prizes.

Electric Vehicles: Exploring inside the Box

EEE Department of MEA Engineering college has Organized a Five day Online Faculty development Program on the topic “Electric Vehicles: Exploring inside the Box”. We had 5 Eminent Professors from NIT, IHRD and TKM College of Engineering. Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal, MEA Engineering college inaugurated the function. Mrs. Subeekrishna (Assistant professor and coordinator of FDP) welcomed the gathering and keynote address was delivered by Dr. FEBINA BEEVI. P (HOD, EEE). Mr.JITHIN MOHAN K.S. Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics”

A Workshop was organised by IGMI in association with ITC ,an initiation of India tech,IIT Bombay on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Robotics’, conducted on15th &16th March 2019. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. V H Abdul Salam, Director of MEAEC, Prof. Subeekrishna M P, Faculty Advisor of IGMI welcomed the gathering and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Sakker Hussain C K, (HOD Incharge, Dept.of EEE). The function is followed by the felicitations of Mr. Zubair C K, Administrative Manager, MEAEC and Prof. Haneesh Babu K T, Vice principal of MEAEC. The program was enriched with the presence of Prof. Dr. O. Darshana (HOD, Dept. of CE), Prof. Dr . Raji C G (HOD, Dept. of IT) and other faculty members and 74 participants.

Workshop on “Domestic Maintenance Engineer”

A Workshop was organised by IGMI in association with NSS unit of MEAEC on ‘Domestic maintenance Engineer’ for the students of our college, conducted on 24th November 2018. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Haneesh Babu K T, Vice principal of MEAEC. Prof. Subeekrishna M P, Faculty advisor of IGMI welcomed the gathering and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Febina Beevi P, (HOD,Dept. of EEE). The workshop gave a clear idea to the students about the various problems and the solving techniques associated with household equipments. The sessions were handled by Mr. Abhiraj C, Mr. Rahul E P, Mr. Ashiq Salam P P, Mr. Muhammed Shibili O and Mr. Nishad N P (S7 EEE students).

Power Quiz 2018

College Level Power Quiz Competition was organised by department of EEE in association with KSEB Officers Association, conducted on8th November 2018at EEE department Seminar Hall. Prof. Haneesh Babu K T, Vice Principal of MEAEC welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Murali, Asst. Engineer, 110KV Substation, Perinthalmanna. 57 students were participated in the program from all semesters. Mr. Arun Babu and Mr. Muhammed Saleek won the first and second price respectively. The program ended up with vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Subeekrishna M P, Faculty Advisor of IGMI.

illume’18

The EEE association current year activity inaugural function along with the inauguration of a technical talk series “illume’18”was organized by the students & staff of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, conducted on 23rd October 2018at main seminar hall.“illume’18”was inaugurated by the chief guest of the event Padma Shri. M C Duthan, former director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and the present scientific advisor to Chief Minister of Kerala.

Prof. Subeekrishna M P, Faculty advisor of IGMI welcomed the gathering and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Febina Beevi P, HOD (Dept. of EEE). The program was enriched by the presence of Dr. Rajin M Linus, Principal of MEAEC, Dr. V H Abdul Salam, Director, Prof. Haneesh Babu K T, Vice Principal, Mr. Zubair C K, Administrative Manager and HODs of various departments.

After the inauguration session, a technical talk on ‘Role of Electrical Engineering in Space Research’ was delivered by Padma Shri. M C Duthan.

District Level “Technical Seminar Competition”

District Level Technical Seminar Competition was organised by department of EEE in association with KSEB Engineers association, conducted on 20th march 2018.Prof. Dr. O. Asokan, HOD, EEE welcomed the gathering and the keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rajin M Linus, Principal of MEAEC. The event was inaugurated by Er. Josh, Executive engineer, KSEB. The program was conducted for Malappuram district. Muhammed Anees and Arya K of MEAEC won the first prize

National Level Workshop on “Computer Aided Design of Electrical Systems”

National Level Workshop on Computer Aided Design of Electrical systems was organised by department of EEE in association with IEEE PES Kerala chapter, conducted on 16th & 17th February 2018. The event was inaugurated by Er. Hareendralal, Honourable chairman of IEEE PES Kerala chapter and also the Director of Anantha Gangah Institute of Engineers, Thiruvananthapuram. Prof. Dr. O Asokan welcomed the gathering and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Haneesh Babu, Vice principal of MEAEC and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Subeekrishna M P, Faculty Advisor of IGMI.

AVOLTA’17

The EEE association inaugural function“AVOLTA’17”was organized by the students & staff of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, conducted on 19thOctober 2017at college auditorium.AVOLTA’17was inaugurated by Dr. Sreeraj E.S, Head of Electrical and Electronics Department, National Institute of Technology, Goa. Prof. Sakeer Hussain welcomed the gathering and the keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rajin M Linus, Principal of MEAEC and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Subeekrishna M P, Faculty Advisor of IGMI.
