About MEAAA

The alumni association of the college has come into being with much enthusiasm and vigor. It has been keeping a strong bond between the alumni and the alma mater. An exemplary relationship of the students, the alumni and the college functions as a motivating factor for the well being of all. The college has an astonishing strength of alumni working in different parts of the globe. The association has vivid and varied plans for the future. The association has its wings in overseas as well.

Objectives

• To make a harmonious relationship with the alumni by the alma mater and vice versa.
• To utilize the skills and experiences of the alumni for the well being and guidance of the present student core of the institution.
• To join hands in increasing the fame and name of the institution.
• To sit and share the views and news, on the campus, in every possible time.
• To share the developmental ideas.

Prominent Chapters

Qatar Chapter

Qatar Alumni Association was started in 2009 unofficially and it is constituted and inaugurated on 31st May 2018. Now there are around 200 members in this chapter and executive committee consist of 15 members. The leaders of this association were interacting with college for supporting students of our institute and for being the part of various charity or socially relevant activities conducting by the college. Their yearly meet ups and general body meetings are taking place in the month of Ramzan. They arranges Ifthar meets, Onam Celebrations and various other programs were organizing under this chapter.

UAE Chapter

The MEA Engineering College Alumni UAE (MECAU) gathered on 2013 in Dubai with handful of members and formed Alumni being Mr. Unais P K as the President. The concept of alumni association is to provide a forum to bringing together the old students of the College, so that they can contribute their expertise to help each other.

KSA Chapter

MEA KSA Alumni chapter was founded in the year 2015 with a few members. Today we have a strong presence here in the Kingdom with a 100 members.

The Saudi Arabian chapter has three sub chapters categorised based on the region as Central (Riyadh), Eastern (Dammam) & Western Provinces (Jeddah).

Activities

MEA Qatar Alumni Chapter Logo unveiling and Flood Relief Handover

The Logo of MEA Qatar Alumni Chapter was unveiled on 5th September 2019 in a function organized at the college auditorium. The Alumni chapter office bearers and members along with college authorities made the event successful. In connection with this function Qatar alumni chapter donated 1 Lakh rupees to the flood affected people in Kerala through “NANMA” charity trust of MEA Engineering college.

Zephyr 2019| MEAEC CSE Batch 2005- 2009 Reunion

The Alumni Association of MEA Engineering College under the department of computer science has organized ” Zephyr 2019” – a programme to facilitate, consolidate and coordinate Alumni Activities at MEA Engineering College. The planned objective was to interact with the alumni, planning future events, conducting Alumni Satisfaction Survey, Taking Alumni Feedback etc was conducted successfully.

2004- 08 Batch Reunion

In the occasion of 10th Anniversary, 2004-08 batch reunited at MEA on 23-06-18. Director Dr. Abdul Salam inagrated the function. Mr. C.K. Zubair -Administration Manager, Mr. Haneesh Babu -Vice Principal, Mr. Shahad -Alumni Association Secretory were attended the function. As a signature of this program, many trees were planted across the campus.

Ambulance donated to Pain and palliative care unit Edathanattukara

MEA Engineering College Perinthalmanna Alumni Association donated an Ambulance to Pain and Palliative Society Edathanattukara. On this occasion, Panakkad Sayyed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal,President MEA handed over the key to Abdul Rasheed Chadurala, Secretory Palliative Society Edathanattukara. With esteemed presence of MEA management committee members Prof. Alikutty Musliyar, Haji K. Mammad Faisi, Abdul Hameed Master MLA and Nalakathu Sooppi Sahib. Dr.Rajin M. Linus, Principal MEA and Mr.Haneesh Babu, Vice Principal MEA were attended the function along with alumni association members Mr. Vivek P.S, Mr.Nayas Quderathulla and Mr.Shahad.

MEAAA Logo unveiling

The Logo of MEAAA has been unveiled by Mr. Abdul Raouf Khalid (member of first batch of alumni) on 23/03/2016. The logo has been designed by Mr. Praveen P N ,Assistant professor , Dept. of ECE.

Alumni portal has been launched by First admitted student of MEA Engineering College Mr. Unais P K on 3/08/2016.
