The Department of Computer Applications of MEA Engineering college was established in 2024 by the affiliation of APJ Abdul kalam Technological university. The Department provides quality and Competency based education and in-dept knowledge and expertise in computer applications and Software development. It mould software professionals with ethical values for developing technologies emphasizing on societal and industrial needs. The department aims to prepare every student professionally fit for the rapidly growing industry of Information and Technology in the beginning of every academic session.

MCA is a 2 year(four semester) course that has been structured in line with modern technology.it helps students to get familiar with usage of latest programming languages and large number of applications. The MCA curriculum typically covers core areas of computer science like programming, database management, networking, software engineering, and emerging technologies like AI and machine learning.

BCA (Hons) is a 4 year honours degree programme offered by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). it emphasizes on computer applications and software development skills. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to analyse real-world problems and design optimal solutions. Students are trained to adapt new technologies and changes in the IT landscape.

The department is blessed with committed and experienced teaching faculty and the state-of-the-art infrastructure for delivering quality education and preparing the students acceptable to both industries and higher institutions of learning. Along with an advanced learning experience, our faculty follows a policy of untiring efforts to bring the best out of students.
