The FOSS Cell Programme of ICFOSS aims to provide promotional services of FOSS  to  educational  institutions by promoting the  formation of a group of interested  students  and  teachers in the institution, called the FOSS  Cell,  on a  voluntary  basis. ICFOSS today carries out a number  of  FOSS-related  activities in a model that brings  together Academia, Industry, Government   and   the   FOSS   Community.  Activities  of ICFOSS  presently  includes  R & D;  Support to FOSS software development; FOSS Pilot Programs; technology assistance to  Government  programs and institutions; Local Language computing; Student FOSS activities; Internet  Governance;  Studies on FOSS; Exploring FOSS  Certification; and Capacity Building of students to enter the  FOSS  Community.



MEA  Engineering College, the second self-financing engineering  college in Malappuram district,  is  committed  to provide  excellent and Value-based education with a flair for ethics and professionalism. After his passing away the present  head  Panakkad  Sayyid  Haydar Ali Shihab Thangal follows his path to fulfil his  dream.  The institution is affiliated to  the  University  of  Calicut, KTU and approved by the A I C T E.
