The HRD ministry and the UGC have taken much effort to incorporate yoga in schools and colleges respectively in order for the young generation to be benefited from the immense physical, mental and spiritual potential of yoga practices. Regular Yoga Exercise strengthens the heart, makes the muscles stronger, improves the concentration power, increases the endurance and energy and delivers a clear, calm and composed personality. The practice of Yoga is blossoming, and growing more vibrant every day. It may take as little as 30 minutes out of your day for a tremendous pay off. MEA Engineering College offers a one week bridge course every year for the newly admitted students before the commencement of first semester classes. The objective of the course is to effectively bridge the transition gap between pre university level and engineering level. Training is given on all the basic areas like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with more emphasis on Mathematics. A few hours are allotted to the respective department also so as to give a basic outline of the selected engineering field. The foundation courses in Mathematics and basic elementary engineering help students to build confidence and get equipped with the necessary pre requisites for the engineering course. The bridge course also enables sufficient interaction and familiarization between the faculties and the newly admitted students.
